TO THE QUESTION OF INEXHAUSTIBLE HYDROCARBON RESOURCES

Abstract

The published data on the deep origin and inexhaustibility of hydrocarbons are summarized. The results of the first experiments on the high-temperature synthesis of hydrocarbon systems, performed by the Institute for Superhard Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in 1968, are analyzed. Experiments confirmed the possibility of high-temperature synthesis of hydrocarbon systems from mineral starting materials under conditions close to mantle. It was proposed to expand these studies using modern equipment and computer technologies.

The importance of the first large-scale studies in Ukraine of the problem of the resumption of hydrocarbon deposits, carried out (2007–2009) by a team of leading Ukrainian scientists of oil and gas geology, was noted. The results of these studies were based on the Concept of optimization and intensification of oil and gas production. The reasons for constraining the implementation of the Concept are indicated, and possible ways to overcome them are identifiedю

A special role is assigned to the formation of a new scientific worldview, which will be based on modern views on the inexhaustibility and safety of the use of deep hydrocarbon energy sources.
