Abstract
The significance of the 3D-model grain as an integral methodological attribute of indirectly-analytical diagnostics of technological properties of grinding powders of synthetic diamond is discussed. The importance of projection of grains as the most adequate 3D expression of their shape is noted. A quantitative analysis of the trends in the change of static strength and its correlation with the geometric form of the projection of grain of grinding powders of synthetic diamond in a wide range of their marks. Based on the research carried out, the feasibility and the criteria for the legitimate use of the coboktaedra and octahedra as 3D-model of grain proposed.
