Abstract
The objective of the research is to determine the distribution of alloying carbides TaC and Cr3C2 in coarse-grained hard alloy WC – 20% Co and to evaluate the effect of alloying on microstructural parameters (average carbide grain size, grain size variation coefficient, carbide phase adjacency coefficient, average layers, the specific area of intergranular and interfacial surfaces) and the physical and mechanical properties (density, hardness, yield strength in the test for compression, tensile, bending and crack resistance) of coarse-grained hard alloy WС – 20% Co. The production of new alloyed hard alloys WC – 20% Co, used for friction pairs and materials processing, will improve the performance of these products.
