THE ROLE OF THE CORRESPONDING MEMBER OF THE NAS OF UKRAINE VOLODYMYR PETROVYCH BONDARENKO IN THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SCIENTIFIC SCHOOL OF THE UNION OF DRILLERS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The activity of the famous scientist in the field of materials science, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vladimir Bondarenko in the formation and development of the scientific school of the Union of Drillers of Ukraine is highlighted.V. Bondarenko is organizer and permanent chairman of ten International conferences “Rock-Cutting and Metal-Working Tools–Technology of Manufacture and Use” (1998–2007), in which he began to closely cooperate with scientists and practitioners in the field of the oil and gas wells drilling, where the greatest application of rock-cutting carbide and diamond tools is found. He drew serious attention and actively supported the idea of the oil and gas potential of the Ukrainian Shield. This marked the beginning of its wide discussion among scientists and practitioners, further discovery and development of new deposits.As a result of the consistent and persistent activity of the scientific school of the Union of Drillers of Ukraine, at the origins of which was V. Bondarenko, a scientifically based Concept of the effective use of renewable deep hydrocarbon resources was developed, designed to accelerate the development of the oil and gas industry in Ukraine. It is recommended to take it into account during the formation and implementation of state policy in the sectors of the economy, energy and ecology.
