Abstract

Simulation of densification processes of powder mixtures based on boron carbide during high-speed sintering under pressure and zirconium oxide during hot vacuum pressing was performed. The computer model developed for this purpose is based on the Skorokhod–Olevskyi–Stern theory of compaction of porous materials and takes into account the kinetics of grain growth during sintering. The results of laboratory and computer experiments were used to determine the parameters of the model. The adequacy of the computer model was confirmed by comparison with the obtained experimental data.
