Abstract

The objective of this work is to substantiate and develop a rational technology for equipping boreholes with bio-soluble block gravel filters to improve the efficiency of groundwater purification and to extend their operational service life. The set tasks were addressed using a comprehensive research methodology, which included the analysis and synthesis of literary and patent sources.

For the first time, a technology for equipping boreholes with bio-soluble block gravel filters has been proposed. Its significance lies in the combination of environmental safety, technological simplicity, cost-effectiveness, and adaptability to specific hydrogeological drilling conditions.

The research results can be applied in the design and reconstruction of boreholes for potable and industrial water supply systems. Furthermore, they can be integrated into the educational curricula of technical universities for training specialists in the fields of drilling, water supply, and hydrogeology.
